27. Bert Lyons, one of our video crew members, along with co-worker Nathan
Salsburg from the Alan Lomax Archive were among the 264 people
arrested on Friday night during the Critical Mass bike ride. This was the
NYPD's first use of mass arrests tactics in response to the
demonstrations. They were kept in jail, first, at a makeshift holding pen
at the Pier 57 and then at Central Booking, for over
